The YEJ series electromagnetic brake motor is a totally enclosed, self-fan-cooled, squirrel-cage three-phase asynchronous motor. Designed in accordance with IEC standards, this series features high starting torque, compact construction, rapid braking, reliable operation, high efficiency, energy savings, and low noise. Additionally, the motor incorporates a manual release mechanism, allowing for both electromagnetic and manual braking operations, which facilitates user commissioning and usage.

YEJ series electromagnetic brake motors serve as power sources for machinery requiring rapid stopping, precise positioning, repetitive operation, frequent starting, and anti-slip capabilities. Applications include elevators, gear reducers, conveying equipment, packaging machinery, food processing machinery, and printing machinery. Principle and Structure: The DC disc brake is mounted on the non-drive end of the motor. When the motor is energized, the brake activates: electromagnetic force attracts the armature and compresses the spring, disengaging the brake disc from the armature and end shield, allowing the motor to run. When power is cut off, the electromagnetic force is lost; the spring pushes the armature to clamp the brake disc, and the resulting friction causes the motor to stop immediately. Brakes are available in two types—power-to-brake (energize-to-brake) and power-loss brake (de-energize-to-brake); while their operating principles are similar, the braking processes are opposite.
